Stewart’s Caring Place Butterfly Gala

The Annual Butterfly Gala is a spectacular event held each year at the home of a generous donor.  Proceeds from the event help make it possible for us to continue to provide our services, free-of-charge, to those in our community who are touched by cancer.

Last year's event was hosted by Randal Lowry and his daughters Meredith and Marisa in memory of their late wife and mother, Jody, who lost her battle with cancer a little over a year ago. 

Last year's theme, Gatsby Glitz, inspired the more than 575 guests to get into the spirit of the 1920's.  An authentic Model-T was on site for photographs and an antique claw-foot tub filled with liquor and beer was raffled off as a throw-back to Prohibition. The night included a silent and live auction, fabulous food catered by Beau's Grill of Akron and a spectacular fireworks display donated by Sandusky Fireworks with help from the Lehner Family Foundation.

Thank you to all of our volunteers and generous donors who make each Gala a huge success. Together we can continue to enhance the quality of life of those living with cancer and we look forward to an even more spectacular event next year.
