Community Based Fundraisers

 

Stewart's is frequently approached by individuals and businesses in our community who would like to raise money to support our mission.  Thank you to our many "Community Fundraisers" who help make our work possible.  Below is a list of community-based fundraisers.

Upcoming Events:

Sisters With a Vision "Walking Out of Love" 2-Mile Walk
Where: St. John Christian Methodist Church: 1233 S. Hawkins Ave in Akron
When: Saturday, July 20 at 7am

Join the Sisters With a Vision organization for its 10th Annual "Walking Out of Love" walk to benefit Stewart's Caring Place. Registration begins at 7am. $10 fee. Pre-register by contacting Reva Link at 330.212.1667 or Allie Nicholson at 330.835.4187. 


Save the Ta-Tas Annual Bout and Bust Auction
Where: Summit County Fairgrounds located at 229 E. Howe Road in Tallmadge
When: Saturday, Sept. 7 at 6pm

Enjoy an evening of action-packed roller derby with the NEO Roller Derby Girls. Their annual Save the Ta-Tas fundraiser is an amazing event in which skaters and Stewart's participants cast their busts, have them decorated by a local artist, and then auction them off. All proceeds benefit Stewart's.
Preview the busts on Friday, Aug. 2 at the Second April Galley, located at 324 Cleveland Ave. NW in Canton, part of Canton's First Friday Festival and Friday, Aug. 30 at the WE Gallery, located at 220 N. High Street in Akron.
