Our Team

Jeannine Marks – Executive Director

Jeannine MarksJeannine and her husband Steve Marks launched the Akron Marathon in 2003 with a family foundation with the mission of promoting health and fitness and to bring national attention to the region. The event is currently the largest Marathon Relay event in the United States. Jeannine is a life long Akron area resident and a graduate of the University of Akron. In addition to her board seat with the Akron Marathon, Jeannine presently serves on the board of Summa Foundation, Children’s Hospital Leadership Team for Haslinger Hospice and Palliative Care and Girls On the Run leadership team. She has served on many boards and continues to chair and work on philanthropic endeavors in the community. Jeannine and her husband have three children; Wyatt, Mackenna and Brady.

Stephanie Davis-Dieringer – Director of Programs and Operations

Director of Programs and OperationsStephanie is a graduate from the University of Akron. She has many years of for profit and non-profit program management experience. As the Program and Operations Director, Stephanie plans cancer support services, and works with professional facilitators and community partners to deliver programs and services at Stewart’s Caring Place. She is an avid volunteer in the community. Stephanie resides in Copley with her husband Greg.

Fran Hughes – Administrative Assistant

Fran HughesAs the Administrative Assistant, Fran is responsible for Facility & Vendor Management along with other various administrative duties. Fran was hired at Stewart’s in June 2014. Fran lives in Green with her husband Eric and has two adult children and a pet tortoise named Quincy. Fran enjoys exercise, hiking and reading.
